Liz and Josiah chose to have their engagement session on Liz’s family farm in Genoa, Nevada, a location filled with deep history and breathtaking views. This beautiful ranch has been in Liz’s family for over 100 years and is one of the first ranches in Genoa, making it the perfect backdrop for engagement photos that feel both meaningful and timeless. As a Reno and Lake Tahoe engagement photographer, I love when couples choose locations that hold personal significance, allowing their photos to tell a richer, more authentic story.

This second part of Liz and Josiah’s engagement session focused on one of the most important parts of their lives — their love for horses. Josiah is a career horseshoer, and working with horses is a huge part of who they are as a couple. Incorporating Liz’s horse into the session added such a special, personal touch, creating images that truly reflect their lifestyle, passions, and connection. Engagement sessions like this are what make Northern Nevada engagement photography so unique — no two love stories are ever the same.

As a Genoa, Reno, and Lake Tahoe engagement photographer, I work closely with couples to create sessions that feel natural, personal, and true to who they are. Whether it’s a scenic ranch, a mountain meadow, or a lakeside location, my goal is always to capture the moments that feel real — the laughter, the quiet connection, and the joy of this season of life. Liz and Josiah’s engagement photos are a beautiful reminder that when you choose a meaningful location, your images become even more powerful.

If you’re looking for a Reno or Lake Tahoe engagement photographer who values storytelling and intentional locations, sessions like Liz and Josiah’s show just how special your engagement photos can be when they’re rooted in your history, your passions, and your love story.
